Alba's Walk was founded by Alba Rayton, in association with the Spanish Speaking Women's Association in 2005, and has since been run annually.

Alba was born in Puerto Rico in 1945. She studied at the University Of Puerto Rico where she obtained a BA in drama and education. Alba and her British husband and son have lived in many countries, including England, USA, Thailand, Indonesia, China and Hong Kong.
With her husband, Alba currently runs a family business in China and is a permanent resident of Hong Kong. She has been an active member of the Spanish Speaking Womens' Association for many years and has been involved in numerous charity events.
More recently, Alba has been developing her film making skills and has produced and directed a documentary on the history of the Spanish Speaking Women's Association.
